ILE DE RE.Just off the atlantic coast by La Rochelle, a beautiful  island with a   gentle climate, picturesque villages and a variety of landscapes.

The fortified town of La Rochelle has built its splendor on and around the ocean.
The cultural and architectural heritage of this one-time fishing village reflects its maritime vocation: The towers on the lookout over the entrance to the ancient port, the large clock, the Renaissance homes  of the old-time shipowners, the arcaded shop-lined streets, the museums and even the giant aquarium...

Given over to yachts and schooners, the most venerable European port of the Atlantic seaboard attracts the sailboats of the world.

Poitiers is an ancient city, founded in pre-roman times . It is the capital of the Region "Poitou-Charentes" .
Poitou-Charentes is a land of tradition, where skills are passed on from generation to generation: its inhabitants know how to wait for a good product to mature - and they also know how to take the time to enjoy life and to welcome guests. Warm and receptive, the region is always delighted to share its riches, both natural - the bucolic Marais Poitevin, the coastal edge lined with charming little islands - and cultural. It has a Norman heritage of the first order, visible in the churches at Aulnay, Saint-Savin (which contains the finest Norman frescoes in France), Talmont, Chauvigny and Melle, and in the towns of Saintes or Poitiers. Poitiers keeps a medieval aspect with many churches, old streets, but it is also the town of the famous "Futuroscope" theme park.
